Warm Air Heating Systems

Installation

While no longer the popular heating solution they once were back in the sixties and seventies, gas fired Warm Air Heating Systems can still be found in thousands of homes across the UK. Part of the reason for this is the exceptional reliability of the technology. They aren't antique, just retro.

However, when a unit needs to rest at the scrap heap in the sky, most customers decide to have a more conventional wet central heating system fitted instead. While this is perfectly understandable, it isn't the only option.

There are still a couple of manufacturers out there that make new Warm Air Heating Units. They even incorporate the super efficient condensing technologies found in a more conventional modern gas boiler. This is an important consideration if yours is ever beyond saving and needs to be replaced.

Check these guys out: Johnson & Starley and Multicalor. This is good news, as it means you don't always have to start again.

At Valmac we are qualified to work on Warm Air Heating Systems. Many engineers choose not to certify on this particular technology, but we feel customers who have these systems should continue to be supported. They can be: by us!

Servicing

While the technology is proven and reliable, because there is a large fan blowing warm air around the heating ducts that run through the dwelling, dust and debris tends to accumulate in the system filters and other components. This means that to maintain efficient and effective operation, the system really does need to be serviced every year. Funnily enough, we can help with that.

Repair

Now we know we said these warm air units are reliable, (and they are), but there are still times when smooth and efficient operation can take a nose dive for a variety of reasons. In these instances you are going to need our help. We will do our level best to get you back up and running as quickly as we can. If a fix just can't wait, We even have our emergency service to support you when you need us most.
